A super dry but intensely aromatic cold climate Riesling, tightly focused & pure. Fermented on lees in old puncheons for a slippery texture with flinty sulphides to tame the bracing acidity. Grown at the beautiful Bundaleera vineyard in Relbia, northern Tasmania (lower Tamar Valley). Hand picked and whole bunch pressed, the pristine juice is then transported back to Bellwether in Coonawarra for ferment.
2019 Tasmanian Riesling; Delicate white florals, grapefruit pulp and texture, almost disprin like purity and a very tight acid finish – try with Saffron Tagliatelle with ricotta and crispy shallots.
